Sarah Palin, McCains future VP

Up until a couple of days ago, I was not that enthused to vote this year. John McCain has always been a little wishy washy, and Barack Obama is an idiot. (Go ahead, call the NAACP and every other anti non-black organization and tell them I'm racist. Moron.) But I'll be damned, Johnny went out and picked himself the best running mate possible in snagging Sarah Palin. So who is she? She is currently the govorner of Alaska with an approval rating of 80%, before that she chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission in 2003 and 2004 and also served as Ethics Supervisor of the commission. And before that, Palin served two terms on the Wasilla, Alaska, city council from 1992 to 1996, then served two terms as mayor of Wasilla from 1996 to 2002. And she isn't afraid to call out people in her fellow party. She resigned as the Ethics Supervisor in protest for what she claimed as a lack of ethics of fellow Republican members.
After her resignation she exposed Randy Ruedrich, the state Republican Party's chairman,, one of her fellow Oil & Gas commissioners, he was accused of doing work for the party on public time and working a little too close with a company he was actually supposed to be regulating. Palin filed formal complaints against Ruedrich and former Alaska Attorney General Gregg Renkes, who both resigned. Ruedrich also had to pay a record $12,000 fine. Palin also publicly challenged Senator Ted Stevens to come clean about the federal investigation concerning his financial dealings.
The big points for me is that she is anti-abortion, anti gay marriage and isn't afraid to drill. So wheres are all these women who were going to blindly vote for Hillary now? When asked a few months ago why you would not vote for that crazy broad, you were also labled a bigot, sexist blah blah blah. But put a normal, rational thinking woman out there to vote for and now you left wing neo-feminists don't know what to do. Is it because she's so easy on the eyes? I have noticed that most femi-nazis are typically run down and man looking, HILLARY. Kinda reminds me of this picture,
It's the same thing as people making it a racial issue when you say Barack is a nutjob, but at the same time I support Condoleezza Rice and it means nothing because as a former co-worker of mine (a black guy) put it, Condi was just a "house nigger" and did not know what it meant to be black. That right there is the same type of ignorance that is seperating this country, all of the horsey shit double-standards. People like the guy I mentioned are the same ones who believe everybody in the universe is out to get them and if someone of their color happens to become successful and make something of themselves, they have then lost touch with everyone else. It's the same as when people were calling Colin Powell an "Uncle Tom". Why, because he's not a moronic rapper or because he's not selling crack?

Todays choice is a live track by Metallica. As an added bonus, this is from the S&M concert where they performed with Michael Kamen of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.
This track has never been performed without a symphony.

The Liberal Survey Guy
A couple of days ago, I'm pulling into my driveway when someone is walking down my driveway. I hate solicitors but this was no solicitor. He was one of those guys that walks around, door to door, taking surveys. The first thing I notice about this guy is his "Martin Heinrich for Congress" t-shirt and his "OBAMA for president button. I proceed to park my pollution spewing, long-tubed headers uncapped, Z28 into my garage right next to my wifes ozone layer depleting Trans Am while this clown stands in my driveway waiting for me. I get out and he introduces himself as a pre-election surveyer and asks if I have a minute. I don't but I agree anyway. Conversation is as follows:
As I'm sure you know, there is a very important election coming up pretty soon, I'd just like to ask a few questions to gauge how people in this area are going to vote. Will you vote for Martin Heinrich or Darren White?
Darren White.
In the senate race, will you vote for Tom Udall or Steve Pearce?
Steve Pearce.
If you had to vote today, which presidentail candidate would you vote for? Barack Obama or John McCain?
I'm not very enthused about it because I really liked Fred Thompson, but given the choice, I'd have to vote for John McCain.
If left up to one side of the govornment to run healthcare, would you pick the Democrats or the Republicans?
I would rather NEITHER of them ran it, but if I had to pick, I'd trust the Republican party a lot more than I would the Democrats. I don't like the idea of "universal healthcare" one bit.
At this point, he starts to put his own two cents in, as the survey is over.
Well, hopefully by the time the election comes around, we will have changed your mind!
Yeah, theres no chance in hell thats going to happen. I will NEVER vote for ANY liberal EVER.
Wow, you're a hardcore Republican aren't you?
Not at all. I'm a conservative. That's why I said I'm not that excited about voting for John McCain.
Don't you care about this stupid war and the bad economy?
Actually, my wife served in the Air Force and all these cars and this big house are ours. I seem to be doing just fine. And I happen to be a construction worker. Isn't that the worst possible job to have these days?
Well haven't you at least noticed a slowdown in work?
Yeah, a little. Thats life. Am I supposed to cry about it?
At this point, he starts to kind of back away and begins making his way to the sidewalk.
Don't you know that a million more people are going to lose their homes by next month?
I'm not going to lose mine. I'm not afraid of having a job.
Do you have any kids?
Nope. I believe in personal responsibility
He's at the sidewalk by now and walking away.
Thanks for your time.
Friggin hilarious. You liberals still don't get it do you? The entire country is not afraid of everything like you. There are still some of us who believe we can make it through life without the government holding our hand all the way through. There are still some of us left with enough balls to get up every morning and go to work. There are still some of us left who refuse to lay down and let elected officials dictate every aspect of our lives. Why in the hell would I want the same group of people who run that train wreck known as the motor vehicle division, the same people who have nearly bankrupted social security to take over my healthcare? They seem to ruin every type of program they inherit, so lets go ahead and let them run the health system too. BRILLIANT!

The official Fire and Flames video. Herman Li and Sam Totman tear it up.
Check the solo battle at about three minutes into the video. I love the overhand-work. Bad as hell.

Swimsuits Banned

Oh boo hoo. Spains female synchronized swimming team has gone and gotten their swimsuits banned. Come on now, I don't see a thing wrong with them.
Their swimsuits have some sewn in lights for some added dazzle. The following was a quote taken from Y! Sports News :
“This is a very conservative sport … their excuse that is you cannot have accessories on your swimsuit, but they are sewn in.
If you use those standards, sequins are a type of accessory.”

Michael Phelps is a dolphin and he proved it by going eight for eight. He made history AGAIN last night, and you can read the whole story by CLICKING HERE. So, where's the Frenchy that said he was going to crush the US swimming team? Oh that's right, I don't even remember that guys name.

The Denver Broncos defeat the Dallas Cowboys in pre-season action, 23-13. Denvers second year quarterback, Jay Cutler completed 16 of 20 passes for 178 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys' starting defense. Last week he was 8 for 10. There will never be another John Elway but I'm confident in Jay Cutler.

Michael Phelps wins 7th gold
Surrounded by plenty of controversy, Michael Phelps has won his 7th gold medal. It came after an ENORMOUS comeback in the mens 100m butterfly. He was in 7th place after a very rough start, Serbias Milorad Cavic led the whole race. The finish was so close, it had to be reviewed at 10-thousandth of a second. Serbia finally accepted the result after being shown in super slow motion. The video in full time is available by CLICKING HERE. And this is the SUPER SLO-MO VERSION. Simply amazing.

John Edwards Admits to Affiar
Well what do we have here? First he denied it and now he finally admits it. He was quoted as saying
"In the course of several campaigns, I started to believe that I was special and became increasingly egocentric and narcissistic. If you want to beat me up — feel free. You cannot beat me up more than I have already beaten up myself,"
YOU, egocentric? No way! We would have never guessed seeing as how you get haircuts that cost over a thousand dollars and then charge fifty thousand dollars to give speeches on POVERTY. Wow, what a revelation. Another liberal democrat, partial environmentalist wack-job has an inflated ego! Say it aint so!
And to top it off, Edwards claims that his affair started when his wifes cancer went into remission. Right on, that makes it better. On the news last night, people were expressing sympathy for poor Johnny, saying how it is none of our business. Yet a couple of things George Bush did over thirty years ago, for some reason ARE. No left wing agenda or bias there. No, nothing to see here, move it along.

This track is older than me and it still rules. I especially like where the solo begins,
I love all the rowdy hill-billies. This still has one the best solos ever.

Golden Retriever Adopts Baby Tigers
CANEY, Kan. - A dog at a southeast Kansas zoo has adopted three tiger cubs abandoned by their mother. Safari Zoological Park owner Tom Harvey said the tiger cubs were born Sunday, but the mother had problems with them. A day later, the mother stopped caring for them. Harvey said the cubs were wandering around, trying to find their birth mother, who wouldn't pay attention to them. That's when the cubs were put in the care of a golden retriever, Harvey said. Harvey said it's unusual for dogs to care for tiger cubs, but it does happen. He said he has seen reports of pigs nursing cubs in China, and he actually got the golden retriever after his wife saw television accounts of dogs caring for tiger cubs. Puppies take about the same amount of time as tiger cubs to develop, and Harvey said the adoptive mother just recently weaned her own puppies. The timing couldn't have been any better," he said. The mother doesn't know the difference, Harvey said. He said the adopted mother licks, cleans and feeds the cubs. The Safari Zoological Park is a licensed facility open since 1989 and specializes in endangered species. It has leopards, lions, cougars, baboons, ring-tailed lemurs, bears and other animals. It currently has seven white tigers and two orange tigers. Because whit tigers are inbred from the first specimen found more than a half-century ago, they are not as genetically stable as orange tigers. The zoo's previous litter of white tiger cubs was born April 23, although one of the three has since gone to a private zoo near Oklahoma City. |
